She went on to found Kandahar Treasure, which provides women with jobs creating embroidered products for domestic and international markets. The Kandahar-based business is not merely employing several women, it’s also empowering them.

The ?Made in ___? tag on goods is ubiquitous, but it?s hardly a featured brand asset. Rarely do we take the country of origin into account when making purchasing decisions.
