Who’s Making an Impact? 4th Annual BoP Short-Essay Competition Aims to Find Out
Managed by the Center for Sustainable Global Enterprise at Cornell, 2009’s contest attracted nearly 100 submissions from 15 countries, illustrating a diverse array of business ideas and solutions in 25 different countries. Submitted essays must illustrate existing BoP enterprises (not hypothetical businesses). Prizes range from $1,000-$4,000.

NexThought Monday: The Multiplier Effect of 10,000 Women
By the end of 2010, 3,000 women will have enrolled and/or graduated from the 10,000 Women business management education project globally. The effort has taken root in 22 countries and involved more than 70 academic or nonprofit organizations. Early data shows 70% of graduates are reporting business growth and 50% have hired one or more employees.
